Product Introduction
The MZ6 series is a special-purpose PTC thermistor designed for overheat protection, which can accurately sense temperature changes of the surrounding environment and electronic components. Featuring compact size and low heat capacity, it responds rapidly to temperature rise and real‑time monitors overheating abnormalities of switching power supplies, power devices and other equipment.
Working Principle
Under normal ambient temperature and operating conditions, the resistance Rp of the PTC thermistor is lower than the reference resistance Rs, and the output voltage remains at a low level.
When the ambient temperature exceeds the rated protection temperature, the PTC resistance rises sharply and far exceeds Rs. The output voltage increases instantly to trigger the rear control circuit and activate overheat protection, realizing effective equipment safety protection.
